GALERIA CHILENA (chi)
Felipe, Joe and Diego are founders and co-directors of Galeria Chilena, an artist-run gallery that operated nomadically throughout Santiago de Chile until early 2000. Formulated as a response to a lack of small, independent art spaces in the early years of Chilean democracy, Galeria Chilena's most obvious feature is a lack of physical space, instead adapting to whatever suitable spaces can be found. During the past years Galeria Chilena has evolved from its original purpose and now self defines it self as a "a collaborative instance for group experimentation and encounters; a non-place for discussion, a non-place for joining forces".
